With around 200 kids partying their faces off (which, unfortunately, got very literal at times…) , the Drexel Sierra Earth Week Finale was a massive success with all the profits going towards the environmental campaigns of the Sierra Club. With live performances from Philly legends including Jack Deezl, Ben Pramuck, EuniQ DJ, DirtyDave, Nomster, and Night Kids, wild childs alike collected for an all out blitz of dubstep/trance/hip hop phenomena, with an amazing warehouse to match. Mid June appears to be our next warehouse rave. Save the date, stay tuned, and enjoy charity like you never thought you could.
These Are Powers Break up
With every end comes a beginning, and that is by God what I am hoping for.
Night Kids: Static Glitch Pop Goodness
What do you get when you take some Brooklyn DJ’s, give them a sick deck and infinite possibilities, and tell them to give you a theme song for not caring. It very well may come out to look something along the lines of Night Kids, Disc Jockeys with an ambivalence for ADD rattled beats and grimy drops. Anticipated Amnesia, sounds delightful.

ART: “Dave Rittinger”
Brooklyn based artist Dave Rittinger has collaborated with some art world heavyweights throughout his career, such as Dennis Oppenheim and Alice Aycock. Rittinger has a very spatially aware practice dominated by a play on the function of objects. His quirky visual puns hark back to the surrealists and draw our attention to ideas of branding [...]

PHOTOGRAPHY: Lucas Blalock
Lucas Blalock is a shifty one, constantly tricking us with layered images, double exposures and crazy patterns in his photographs. Based in New York, Blalock draws our attention to the mechanics of the medium, it’s inherent ability to confuse and alter known reality. We are made conscious that we are ‘looking’ at an image, and [...]
Day Dreaming about Palmkites

Boogie takes his camera into places many people would never dare to go, and kudos to him for that. The result is an archive of photography so beautiful and full of extreme life it’s practically reality porn.

Mp3: Phantom Power album downloads
Phantom Power-This Scene Blows I am really diggin on N.Y’s Phantom Powers spacey lounge music. He blends elements of chilled-out house with cosmic sounding synths and reverby jazz guitars. You can download a few of his albums along with a cover of a Daniel Johnston track via bandcamp below. Download Phantom Powers HERE

Mp3: Download The Black Saxons “Disaster”
The Black Saxons just sent in their track “Disaster”. Its raw, its abrasive, its real, just like garage rock should be. With vocals that cut deep through the skin and the simplicity of 3 chords repeated throughout the entire song The Black Saxons have taken this formula and their running with it. I have a [...]
