Flaming Lips are working with Lightning Bolt?! Now yes, I get it, both are legends in their own right in the experimental genre. Yet I could not have thought of a weirder combo: perhaps, Xiu Xiu and Chinese Stars but other then that, few other experimental pairs come to mind. Um yeah… it’s a really kickass tune, giving elements of each side to create a harmonious whole.
Hella – Tripper – Headless
When I heard that Hella is coming back from it’s hiatus to provide auditorial hallucinations, I was speechless. And as I should be, have you guys heard this stuff? The song “Headless” is a nice reminder that the Hold Your Horse Is Zach Hill Hella is far from gone. Hell, it just started.
Zorch – Cosmic Gloss/E.M.F.
I’ve always wanted to travel around the country. Yet honestly, Texas never made the cut as far as destinations worthy of going out to. Call it prejudices or pure ignorance but it felt like some kind of foreign country with it’s own customs, norms, and procedures. Most of that tends to be true, yet it [...]
Sick of the Radio & Dissociative Identity’s Drexel Sierra Earth Week Finale
With around 200 kids partying their faces off (which, unfortunately, got very literal at times…) , the Drexel Sierra Earth Week Finale was a massive success with all the profits going towards the environmental campaigns of the Sierra Club. With live performances from Philly legends including Jack Deezl, Ben Pramuck, EuniQ DJ, DirtyDave, Nomster, and Night Kids, wild childs alike collected for an all out blitz of dubstep/trance/hip hop phenomena, with an amazing warehouse to match. Mid June appears to be our next warehouse rave. Save the date, stay tuned, and enjoy charity like you never thought you could.
