Erica Domesek is a brilliant craftsman changing the world of Do-It-Yourself. Taking high fashioned, expensive clothing, and making them herself. “I see it. I like it. I make it,” is the motto she works for, the motto she lives by. Being the crafty individual she is, Erica was inspired to write this book, “P.S.- I made this“.

After leaving the nail salon, one is always constantly afraid of smudging or chipping one’s set of carefully paid-for polished tips. Straight up lo-fi sound with a heavy DIY vibe, Rollin Hunt likes to change up the groove of the songs mid way thru.  Take the Chicago-based artist’s “Criminal” for example, the melancholy vocals soon transform into  darker, harsher voices while skipping along an upbeat guitar riff.  It’s definitely worthy of a listen on the band’s Myspace.

Mindless Vinyls is a DIY brotherhood of sorts, created by Easy Tom featuring a bunch of outsider musicians including the great R. Stevie Moore. Easy Tom says its about unity and building a collective energy to help out each artists singular visions. Mindless Vinyls compilation #1 is available for download via bandcamp at the link above. The album includes songs from RSM, Arc Light, Dan Plaza, SPACEMAN, Quint Baker, Derek Spade and more. This compilation screams for a tape or vinyl release, is jammed packed with a colorful variety of artists, and is one the best albums Ive heard in quite some time.
