Back in July our buddies from the The Enchantments sent in a few songs from their upcoming album The heavenly sounds of the…Enchantments, now you can download the whole thing from their bandcamp page. Their abrasive blend of toy keyboard bubblegum covered in murky tape dust has an innocent quality thats sure to please. Besides their poppy quirkiness they also incorporate psychedelic influences into their sound with spacy layers of vintage sythns that create cosmic backdrops of celestial proportions dirtied up with blow out guitar-twang and underwater vocals.
Throw some stank on it and get down and dirty with LAY BAC’S ghost disco track “Stay out tonight”. Also download a bunch of Lay Bac’s reverb drenched sampled based creations via bandcamphere.
The Black Saxons just sent in their track “Disaster”. Its raw, its abrasive, its real, just like garage rock should be. With vocals that cut deep through the skin and the simplicity of 3 chords repeated throughout the entire song The Black Saxons have taken this formula and their running with it. I have a feeling these guys dont sit around watching old sitcoms in the comfort of a cozy home in between performances. Judging by their sound I would image them binge drinking, parting, bar surfing and crashing on random peoples couches in their spare time.

France’s Spectrometers just sent us a few tracks from their new 10″. The track Anemic and a cat is full of sci-fi vibes and doomed out twangy 60’s mod guitars rounded out by modulated synth lines and weird background noise. Ghostriding follows suit with a spooky A.M. radio quality bong induced dread with heavily filtered guitar parts gnarled over a nostalgic drum machine pattern.

Synthetic Romance is chalk full of emerging synth-pop artists from the early 80’s. Dark Entries has digitalized the origianl LP and has made it available for download below. The back cover of the album reads:
“Synthetic Romance – for people wanting a collection of modern and futuristic music. The groups are varied, from all parts of the country and all walks of life, with one thing in common – the synthesizer – perhaps the most sophisticated instrument of our century.”
