We all know that no one wears watches these days. They’re heavy, and awkwardly fitting on the wrist, and usually not too appealing. Thankfully, there’s a new trend sweeping the nation… necklaces that tell time? Oh yes, and not only do they tell time, they are also incredibly stylish!! This Toucan Tell Time Necklace from Modcloth is only one of the examples of these new clock necklaces. If you’re not ‘into’ toucans, you can always go with a nice, romantic cluster necklace from Urban Outfitters. These thrifty clocks are easy to wear with anything! Tucked under a cardigan, or made as a showpiece with a little black dress, they are versatile and rather attractive if I do say so myself. Buy the Toucan Tell Time Necklace here.

Mustache embellishments are officially no longer just a “trend”; they’re an iconic mark of today’s generation, the kind of kitschy token this era will best be remembered ironically for, in the same vein as the hula hoop, pet rock, or day-glo accessories. The mustache is today’s Izod lizzard, an instantly recognizable statement of brand; that brand being a universal collective, a hat-tip to the ironic hipster fashion sentiment. We’ve seen mustaches adorn everything from t-shits to jewelry to glassware and more. So what’s left to print a cartoon handlebar mustache on?

Admittedly, it was once cool. There was a sexy subculture out there, and wearing a candy-colored sweatshirt with white accents was like a secret password at a Prohibition-era speakeasy. But maybe it’s time to say goodbye to your leotards and over-the-bang latex headbands. After all, if you don’t do it, Am Appy CEO Dov Charney will drop your ass before you know what’s hit you.

Think Joseph Gordon-Levitt in (500) Days of Summer and Adrien Brody in The Darjeeling Limited. Though suit-wearing can hardly be called a trend, men like these two have demonstrated that these swanky pieces would not be at home in your grandfathers closet. The cut is slim and the overall effect is polished without being stuffy. Keep the accents simple (and the ties skinny), but don’t be afraid to pair it with amazing sneakers if the mood strikes.

Summer evolves into fall, and with the transition of the seasons means three things: a new outfit, new pair of shoes, and a new bag. The Mean Tambourine is your answer to the latter.
Erin McRoberts, the vision behind The Mean Tambourine, has pretty much had handbag designing and constructing in her since the get-go. She was just knee high to a grasshopper when she sold her mom one of her first creations, and made the profit of a “few quarters and a PB&J.” Her “adult” designs came about after a coworker was kind enough to give her some leather, and her need to create the “perfect classic leather bag” was put into motion. So she made herself a bag that was simple, but unique, practical and modern, too. Feedback from her one bag was great, so the demands starting pouring in and McRoberts started “breeding bags.”

Umbrellas are such an under-rated accessory these days. In The Time of Our Elders (or for people who are older than 30), umbrellas were highly coveted accents, a necessary addition to any outfit for the fashion forward set. These days, an umbrella is just that thing we all pay too much for because we only remember to buy when when it’s pouring outside and all the stores have jacked up their prices like they were Lamborghinis. But umbrellas don’t have to be dowdy to be practical. David David’s Multi Coloured Umbrella puts a modern twist on an item; proving that anything can become fashionable in the right hands.

Add some color to your nether regions with these undies! They come in both men and women’s sizes with similar designs. Boldly and crazily colored, they’re both fun and eye-catching. Take a look at some of them:

And my personal favorite:

They’re made of stretchy knit and elastic bands, and each one will set you back $28. (Superpowers may or may not be included.)

As someone who lived for several years in the midwest (yeah, Illinois!), I’ve got to say, it’s pretty great. I mean, come on. All you other Midwesters out there know what I’m talking about. And what better way to show it than this T-shirt? (As for the rest of you non-Midwesters, you might as well admit that Midwest truly is best and buy this shirt anyways) This Midwest is Best shirt only comes in men’s sizes (sorry, ladies) and is screened onto light grey American Apparel shirts and each one sells for $25.

Ah, the quintessential brown paper bag, most famously used to hold malt liquor or other types of alcohol. It’s not as commonly seen around the streets anymore, I haven’t seen a scruffy old man clutching one of these in a long time. For those of you, like me, who find that there’s something about brown paper bags that have an old-school charm, these the Brown Bag Bottle Cozies are the perfect thing for summer.

These cute cozies are made from 100% recycled felt, and can fit bottles and cans. They come in sets of two for $12, so get ‘em here!
