Forget about shipbreaking and selling it for scrap–make them a floating nature conservatory. These are WWII cargo ships rusting at Homebush Bay in Sydney, Australia. They were initially slated for dismantling that apparently has yet to take place. It is an interesting solution for intractable problems of urban decay. In rust belt cities in the U.S. you see the architectural version of these abandoned hulks as a grim reminder of the death of American manufacturing. It might be interesting if artists also cloak them in nature. It might be our next graffiti.
