Intricate, hard-won and fine (and fun) to view, Mike Doyle’s beautiful works of art are meant to draw on or refer to a sense of fragility in both the natural and man-made worlds.
Each work that he creates is highly complex, both conceptually and in terms of just what it takes to pull these finely engineered works of art off; each takes hundreds of hours and tens of thousands of miniature plastic building blocks or pieces to craft.
Doyle is fond of juxtaposing something man-made and something natural and has been inspired by both works at Legoland and art by Nathan Sawaya. Doyle is a graphic designer by day, based in New Jersey. ()
