Who doesn’t wish that they could get paid to play with LEGOs? Ryan McNaught aka “The Brickman” is living the childhood dream. He is employed by LEGO to build scale models created entirely of LEGO bricks. He builds everything from helicopters to models of landmarks in Sydney and New York. His pieces are featured everywhere from department stores to personal homes. McNaught is open to making anything out of the tiny blocks. His most popular pieces are mosaics which many order for their offices and homes. His mosaics range from family portraits to vivid landscapes.
One of his most recent creations is the Elvis, a model of the Erickson S-64 Air-Crane Helicopter was featured in Brickvention 2013, held this January in Victoria, Australia. Brickvention is Australia’s largest LEGO convention that features the world’s greatest LEGO creations. He sells his models online, but can also be hired to make specific models. McNaught says his models most often end up in boardrooms and museums.
