Took some photos of an abandoned Carter Sparks custom built modern home in Fair Oaks, CA today. The home was originally owned by artists John and Joan Fava who lived there for 60 years until they were too old to take care of it. The Fava house demonstrates Carter Sparks reckless creative ambition early on in his career. Currently the home is abandoned and in serious disrepair. The interior still includes vintage furniture, lamps, old records, a t.v., and even old 60′s magazines on the coffee table! There have been feeble attempts to fix the home up, one owner tore down the car port and sundeck, but then gave up on additional repairs. Now it stands waiting for a rich MCM lover to come give it some love. Enjoy the photos!
