American architecture and design firm Choi + Shine have taken power lines to a new level through their project titled “The Land of Giants.”
True to their commitment to aesthetically-pleasing, optimistic designs, head architects Jin Choi and Thomas Shine created atypical, colossal tower figures that combine functionality with sculptural art. Using slightly modified steel-framed pylon, the towers are made so that they connect with both their function and environment. The results are unique structures that denote personality through their individual configurations. Not so surprising then that their impressive work earned them the 2010 Unbuilt Award from Boston Society of Architects.
