The American artist Charlie Roberts compares himself to novelists while describing his artwork: he claims to start in one corner and “paint a few square inches every day” until the canvas is filled up. Like writers, he makes up a story and a world as he goes along. In his Norway home, Charlie creates pop culture-inspired paintings of many different images, all impressively becoming a part of one world. One can find drawings of many different things like a hand holding a book, a Batman cap, or a soda being held between a pair of legs, in any single piece of his art.
