ROY LICHTENSTEIN CALIPER STUDIO

Late artist Roy Lichtenstein’s legacy lives on in more than his iconic comic book inspired pop art. Brooklyn-based Caliper Studio took the artist’s Greenwich Village residence and work place and converted the 6,000 square foot roof surface into a sculpture garden. With views of Manhattan’s West Side, the urban garden now houses Lichtenstein’s famous pieces “Brushstrokes” and “Endless Drip” while the preserved studio keeps the original paint-splattered floor, built-in wall easel system and the artist’s original artifacts.
