Bonsai artist and sculptor Ken To creates miniature bonsai trees out of metal wire that make for unique, colorful pieces. Although stylistically simple, the sculptures focus on shape and convey intricate designs. They come in various styles (upright, cascade, deadwood, literati, etc.) and color combinations like gold and silver, and copper and varied shades of green. He’s also used hot pink wiring and has done commissioned pieces in the form of the weeping willow trees. Their minute size renders the crafting as praiseworthy, as does the timeframe of 2-6 hours required to complete a sculpture.
