Back in April we interviewed the darling behind Port St. Willow, Nick Principe. He had just released his stunning EP Even//Wasteland that, although only four songs deep, is truly a spectacular introduction to the singer/songwriter talent that is Principe.
Since then Port St. Willow has been making the rounds playing shows on both coasts, as well as creating new music. How does one write new songs that rival the intoxicating beauty of his last EP and tour at the same time? Apparently, it’s a gift in multitasking with which not everyone was born. Pfft.
This week finds Port St. Willow back on the east coast with two shows in the New York City area:
06 Aug: Cameo Gallery, Brooklyn, NY
11 Aug: Mercury Lounge, NYC
On top of his upcoming live performances that us east coast kids have been longing for since the last time he was in town, Nick has just released a few videos for his new songs. Based on how many times I’ve listened to “Calm,” it’s safe to say my ears and I have a new addiction. All three songs are superb… I promise you’ll end up with an addiction, too.
