“Red string ring on finger. This is what I’ve come to think of as my work. A point of recall. Some tie a red string around their finger to remember an appointment or a task. I make objects (currently mostly from used clothes and miscellaneous fabric I find) as a way to remember and try to understand what matters even when I sometimes am not so sure what it is that really matters at the onset. My work is a marker of what I want to maintain my attention, what I hold dear, and what is important in my life.”
