There is something deliciously sweet to a charitable event that is simply way out of the usual realm. Sick of the Radio had the pleasure of becoming part of this youth, digital, uprising with it’s partnership during the Sierra MLK Charity Show yet now looks at the next evolution of this movement, the Drexel Sierra Earth Week Finale. For one, it’s going to be a big one. Sierra MLK Charity Show drew out 125 ppl in our favorite little hole in the wall, Danger Danger. Now we re looking at well over double that inside a warehouse simply entitled “Fake House“, with a maximum occupancy of 400. If you don’t have the picture yet, this should help: 5 local dj’s, each spinning Electronica, Dubstep, Trance delights all the while strobes, black lights, and booming sub woofers blare out to the audience, an epileptic endorsing experience, for sure. Old and new favorites will be joining us including Ben Pramuk, DirtyDave, Night Kids, and Jack Deezl as well as the artistic influences of local art students. So where will you be on April 23rd, from 8-2 am? For your sake, come out to Sick of the Radio’s & Dissociative Identity’s Drexel Sierra Earth Week Finale: if not for the reasons of great music, awesome theatrics, and large consumption of alcohol, perhaps think of the trees? Eh it was worth a shot: check out the Facebook event, listen to each of the act’s material, and I’ll see ya out there. Being “Green” has never felt so dirty.
