Chicago-based artist and independent curator Ryan Travis Christian works with graphite on paper to create intricate black-and-white image that instantly draw you in. He combines patterns with old cartoons, and in turn, develops truly psychedelic art. From afar, Christian’s images can appear muted; but with any good artist, his work is complex and obscure—even surreal—when close up.
