After six seasons, four years and eight collections, New York based indie label Pepper+Pistol is calling it quits. The label, whose line attracted the likes of musicians like Irish electro-pop singer Roisin Murphy, Natasha Khan of Bat for Lashes, and – I reluctantly add – Tyra Banks (does anyone else remember Tyra’s music video from ANTM?), was founded by fashion veteran Silvia Hillman and textile designer Katrin Wiens.
Each collection from P+P is created around an overarching theme or story – appropriate for a company that got its name from a children’s tale from the designers’ native Germany.
