QUILT: three-part harmonies are cool again

Quilt QUILT: three part harmonies are cool again

Quilt‘s backwoods aesthetic belies the band’s considerable technical accomplishments. And that’s probably the point: tight three-part harmonies and clever song structure come across as effortlessly spontaneous, unrehearsed rituals. Not unlike Woods, in style and song name (“Disco Music for Trees”), Quilt embrace the return-to-nature zeitgeist, inhabiting the forest where banjo is still king. And maybe where the minotaur lives.
