Black Metal is something that many are part of, but few understand. But that’s exactly what Peter Beste set out to change, by spending seven years photographing this culture in Norway. It stems from horror films, Satanism, extreme heavy metal, and pagan mythology. Though it sounds stereotypical, it goes deeper than just that. Beste’s stunning photographs are the perfect combination of fascinating subject matter and professional artistry. Maybe you you don’t like metal music, maybe you don’t know anything about it. This isn’t about music, this is about the culture. And trust me, looking through his gallery is enough to pique anyone’s interest.
