Jessse Freidin captures his images the old fashion way, with a 1970′s Hasselblad, black and white film (Ilford HP5 Plus), and a darkroom. Many believe images taken this way retain a special quality missing from digital format. His subjects are certainly excited about this work. They wag their tails, loll out heavy tongues, and thrust deep trusting eyes into the lens. Quite amusing are the imitations of Lady Gaga. Somehow I just know she will be flattered.
