Not just a carbon copy of the current trend in young power female voices mixed with dance heavy beats (La Roux and the obvious Lady Gaga), Little Boots joins the mix. The singer-songwriter, English born Victoria Hesketh, was classically trained on the piano and picked up the flute, Stylophone, harp, and the funky Japanese electronic instrument by Yamaha, a Tenori-on, along the way. After a three year stint as the lead singer and synth player in Dead Disco, she parted ways in favor of her current electropop, fun sound. Her second single “Remedy” will definitely make for a good time at the club with the girls. Check out Little Boots’ Myspace Page or website for a free download of a six minute mini mix track of songs from her latest album Hands.
