Many of us were primping for our very first high school dance when Robyn arrived from Sweden to dominate the North American music charts. Perhaps you’ve grown up since then, or maybe not so much, but Robyn has returned yet again sounding mature, fiercely renewed and ready to reclaim her role of beloved Swedish pop darling. With a whopping three albums set to be released this year (the first, Body Talk Pt. 1 came out on June 14th), Robyn has become something of a master multi-tasker. Says the singer, “I got all these great songs so why not? It’s been 5 years since “Robyn” and I didn’t want to wait with a release until they are all recorded, so I decided to start putting them out right away. I also can’t wait to play live again and this enables me to tour and record at the same time. I just want to keep making music.” If working overtime is what it takes to get more infectious club hits like “Dancing on My Own” on our stereo, we’ll supply the caffeine.
