For Decades Phyllis Galembo has been photographing in various locations across Africa documenting ritualistic costume trends. Phillis’s work represents the rich visual culture of Africa along with its western influences of today, i.e. the Chicago Bulls and Anahei Ducks logos. She is currently working on a new book entitled “Mask” to raise money for the historic city Jacemel that was devestated by an earthquake earlier this year. “Mask” will feature her photography from Haiti, Zambia, and Nigeria, look for it to be released soon.
