Amanda Blank Knows What She Wants

Amanda Blank

She totally does, you guys. This fiery American songstress and rapper’s voice comes across loud and crystal clear on album “I Love You,” which was released in August of 2009 and featured first single “Might Like You Better.” Dropping lyrics like, “I’m not waiting on ya/don’t take too long/Don’t waste my time/just take me home” to pulsing electronic beats, there’s no doubt Blank’s got some bonafide attitude. Born Amanda McGrath, she adopted stage name Amanda Blank as a tribute to funnywoman Amy Sedaris’ character Jerri Blank, from the hit comedy series Strangers With Candy. She’s opened for Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Peaches, and Santigold, and is also a member of the Philadelphia-based performance art group Sweatheart.

Having recently completed her 2010 tour, Blank is back in the studio – leaving fans eagerly anticipating her next release. If you haven’t given her a listen, treat your ears. You need more Amanda Blank in your life.

Trust me.
