Since 2001 the world has been captivated by this little New York band that seem to do amazing things with just a guitar, a drum set and the Charisma of the lead singer Karen O, who inadvertently brought back the mod, bowl cut.   Recently each member has been off in their own adventures but they still seem to come back to entertain us again. Karen O has most recently been involved in the project Karen O and the Kids and was nominated for a Grammy for her song “All Is Love”. If that wasn’t enough Karen O and Carter Burwell were also been nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Score for the movie Directed by Spike Jonze, “Where The Wild Things Are”.

Karen O is not the only band member making waves, the bands guitarist Nick Zinner has just recently put out a book that is now on Pre-Order “Please Take Me Off The Guest List” is Nick’s new book with Zachary Lipez & Stacy Wakefield you can pre order the book by going HERE . Along with the advance copy you can get the book, signed by Nick Zinner, Zachary Lipez, and Stacy Wakefield. A limited 7″ recording of musical interpretations by Nick Zinner, Zachary Lipez, and Stacy Wakefield in collaboration with three different bands. The 7″ is bound in a handmade and individually numbered poster sleeve, which also contains an original story by Zachary Lipez entitled “My Romantic Competition Among the Stalwarts of the Goth and Cold Wave and New Music Community.” Wait this is not all that you get! You will also receive an original signed photograph by Nick Zinner. Each photograph is a random outtake from his personal collection of 4×6 drugstore prints.

If this is not enough Yeah Yeah Yeahs for you then I don’t know what is!

Not to be lost in the shuffle, the drummer Brian Chase has not been forgotten, and has been releasing albums with his second band named aptly The Seconds. Chase’s other band, also features Zack Learhoff of the Ex-Models.

No worries with all this side project and Grammy stuff, you can still catch the YYY’s performing as a group around the world.
