Poison Control Center’s New Album and US Tour

poison controlcenterphoto Poison Control Centers New Album and US Tour

The definition of power pop is Poison Control Center. Despite living in four separate cities, the four members converged in a schoolhouse on the Mississippi River in spring 2009 to record their new album, Sad Sour Future. The result is power pop at its best, with each member an equal part in the song writing, melodies and vocals.

With sincere lyrics and delving into the complicated topics of love, heartbreak and growing old, there isn’t a more fitting title for an album; Sad Sour Future pretty much sums it all up quite nicely.

“Being Gone,” sets the standard as far as pop songs go with its infectious up tempo beats and the vocalized sweet pleas of the band melting into the framework of the song. In contrast, the album ends on a more intense and sentimental note with “Baron in the Tree.” These two songs alone show the range of both Poison Control Center and this new album.

In support of Sad Sour Future, Poison Control Center have a summer long tour underway.
