It’s pretty rare that anything really great comes out of Worcester, Massachusetts…and most of its residents just might agree. So it’s surprising that newcomers, DOM, have their roots firmly placed in this Boston suburb.

DOM’s debut album, Sun Bronzed Greek Gods, is barely a couple weeks old, and it’s already getting the positive press it deserves on independent music blogs around the country. With a bouncy, almost gleeful 1980’s (break out that old school Casio under your bed) sound that transcends the entire duration of their album, DOM opens with the song “Living in America,” a catchy, head-nodding, sarcastic ode to America.

There are no letdowns on this entire album, with each song keeping par with the one before it, and not once deterring from its consistent poppy theme. After only a listen or two, songs like “Bochicha” and “Rude as Jude” will creep into your subconscious and stay there for days…and this will make you very happy…you’ll see.
